A short edit, filmed and edited by Jordan Maders, of TRS rider Steve Swain at Bay 66 in London.
Some stuff I found in a box
I’m sure there’s loads more about, but I found a few wheels in a box in the spare room.
- Cozmo anti-rocker wheels. 50mm and 85A. Not the best to be honest. All the issues of anti-rocker with the added bonus of grippy wheels in the centre.
- Realm wheels – 58mm and 90A. As were standard on some of the Oxygen range. I only have 2 as I loaned out the others for a day, 8 years ago, and never saw them again.
- Exile wheels – the blingingest wheels there ever was. You could choose the colours of your wheels and the style of your hubs separately, then just replace the urethane parts.
New look
A new look for the site. What do you think? Please let me know in comments (below) or in the forums or wherever. Many more updates to come soon.
Guest posting
After some recent changes to the site and having seen the issus that came with people registering, you can now post without having to be logged on to the site. Members will still get the benefits of email updates on news items, notifications when people reply to you etc. but it is no longer a requirement for using the site. I’ll see how it goes for a while and maybe adjust the access at a later date, but for now, get on the forums and get things moving again…
Tidying up users
In an attempt to keep things tidy, remove spammers as well as to reduce the amount of unwanted email that this site is sending out, I’m going to basically delete any accounts that have not logged onto the site for a few months. If that’s you, then where have ya been? Basically, either log on today, or come back and create a new account. Nothing personal.
Chaz Sands Invitational 2010
I was only there for the last few hours, but the atmosphere was amazing. The skating was insane and as always at Rampworx the facilities were impecible. Look forward to many many more media sources but I’ll just link up my own photos (check in the Gallery) for now and one of the best edits I’ve seen for a long time, courtesy of Rampworx and Simon Mulvaney:
3 more sessions up in the Gallery
Right, even though my laptop is currently out of action, and my desktop is slower than a slow thing with a limp, that’s asleep, I’ve managed to work through some processing to bring some new pictures from the past week. Two locations last Friday – Starting off at Bones/UKSkate for a chilled session (BTW the new section looks amazing). Next was short hop over to Rampworx to catch the end of the Ladies’ Night. Fimally was my usual Tuesday evening at Boneyard.
Get yourselves into the Gallery to check out the new pics.
More (minor) gallery changes
Right, more good news on the Gallery. 3 minor updates to the navigation:
First – I’ve moved the [NEW] tag and toned down the colour slightly.
Second – I’ve added a number to each link showing how many images are in each section
Third – I’ve identified and fixed a bug that was not allowing access to a couple of the sections. These were specifically
– The 2005 ASA/LG Finals at the MEN Arena in Manchester and
– The USD/Deshi clinic event from 2005 held at Rampworx Skatepark
I am still working on recovering the data from my archives to try and fill in any blanks.
Completing the Gallery
It’s time to get myself sorted and work on the website again. I’ve fixed the user creation process so anyone waning to register on the site should now be able to. Also I’m working through my old photo archives.
Armadillo Protective Knee Pads
They may be new, they may not be I don’t know but I’ve only just heard of them. I was out at the UKSkate Free Christmas Jam event and as always on the lookout for good pads. Steve, knowing his shit when it comes to this sort of thing advised I try these and you know that any kneepads that Steve likes are gonna be good, and they are…
