One City One Shot Episode #2

After taking quite a liking to the format of One Shot in Manc I have decided to occasionally get out occasionally and just pick the best shot to showcase. This time is was prompted by a visit by Dean Makin up to Stoke. Unfortunately on the day most of the spots we visited we unavailable but this one, though damp (and remaining so due to the Potteries Drizzle) was where we ended up. A derelict demolition site with only a couple of outbuildings remaining, accompanied by their rusty stair rails…

Ten Years of Access

He had been sent a couple of pairs of skates from the brand new Rollerblade ranges. This included a pair of size nine Access. As Mike is into different aspects of skating, he sent these up for me to review on his behalf. Can’t believe this was back in 2002. Ten years ago and before they hit the shops on the UK.

One City One Shot – Manchester

It was a lazy day with no plans that turn into a mad night in Manchester. Yes we skated, but that was not the primary mission on this day so I only grabbed a single photo. With only a few minutes on this spot I turned to the ever-reliable John Goodman to provide the subject matter and this is what I got straight out of the gun:

Blading, The Game – Download it

It has been a good while in the making, but it’s finally here. Jon Julio’s “Blading, The Game” is now available on the iTunes App Store.

Developed by Them Goods Distribution, along with a number of top skaters and including all your favourite brands this is something that we can all get behind. You want something to play on the bus? Something to show the guys at the office to explain what you do? A game to play that is fun? Cheaper than a new pair of laces…

Unit 23 – Hall 1 Update

Well, thanks to Chaz Sands we can now see the changes to Hall 1 at Unit 23 Skatepark (Dumbarton). He’s been posting updates throughout the change, but now you can see the whole thing (though not yet finished) using the 360 panoramic viewer.

I really need to get back up there. Not been since the Unit 23 Open, back in June. I want photos of the new Hall obviously but mostly I want to ride the park. Not something I generally get to do even when I’m there due to camera duties. This time will be different…
